I love that our kids are gttting older and we can really branch out past toddler favorites into fun games that we all really enjoy. Spending time laughing and enjoying each other is the best way to spend a cold winter evening! At least three nights a week we play games after dinner and Hedbanz is on the top of our current favorite list!
Hedbanz is a quick question game of “what am I?” You never know what you are until you start asking! Figure out if the cartoon on your head is an animal, food or man-made object. Be the first player to guess what you are and win! Hedbanz – the game where everybody knows but you!
Everyone else can see what you are, but you ask yes and no questions to narrow it down and discover it for yourself. For my six year old, we love the question suggestion cards. It was a bit challenging to come up with good questions at first and using the suggestion card helped him be independent and succesfull when we played. After some practice, he has the hang of it now. It is just so hard for the kids to NOT give us clues and give it away.
Am I a bug?
Can I fly?
Do I sting?
Can you eat me?
WHAAAAAT? Sometimes the questions get silly, but it is always such a great way to spend an evening together. I love buying games as gifts this time of year. I have gifts on my list for some of our neices and nephews and can't wait for our Christmas cabin to play with our extended family!
Quelf is the multi-award winning game that gives random a new name! Use your creativity and imagination to answer crazy questions and perform ridiculous stunts. There’s only one rule – OBEY THE CARD! If a player obeys their card they get to move ahead! You’ll laugh until you cry with this outrageous, unpredictable, and fun filled party game. Be the first person to cross the finish line and you win! This is going to be hysterical to play because my kids are huge fans of ridiculous stunts!
Would You Rather is the zany game of deranged dilemmas and difficult choices. Discuss, debate and laugh your way to the finish in the ultimate ice-breaking party game as you ask: Would You Rather have to wear a tuxedo made of taxidermied squirrels or a swimsuit made of live starfish? Would You Rather asks you and your friends bizarre, imaginative, hilarious and occasionally disgusting questions. I am sure the gross questions will be the most fun!
You can find all of these games at Amazon, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target, and ToysRUs!
Game night encourages fun quality family time and a way for everyone to reconnect and enjoy time together unplugged and away form the TV! I highly reccommend these games for your favorite kids and families this holiday season!
