I snagged these lightweight NON BREAKABLE eggs from Hobby Lobby last week at 40% off. I have lots of cute ceramic Easter decor, but somehow they always seem to break or get chipped. I wanted some bling that will last for a few years to come and decided to go with these easy glittery eggs!
I went against my usual rule of no glitter. It just gets everywhere no matter how hard I try. I thought this time I had figured it out and would contain it in a big box. well, it is still everywhere...ugh. At least I like how the eggs turned out so it is kind of worth it!
I sprayed my eggs with silver and gold metallic spray paint. After they were dry, I painted them with Mod Podge and sprinkled the extra fine glitter all over them.
This is one of my favorite kind of projects. No measuring, no precision, just do it. I can't imagine how you could even mess these up if you tried. They are in a little glass bowl on our entry table and I love the sparkle!
I used to loathe gold. I am kind of falling in love with it all of a sudden. How about you guys?
