Getting Ready for Memorial Day

Summer is going to be here befroe we know it!

I am so excited to be planning some outdoor BBQ's and picnics. I am dreaming of the warm summer evenings on our patio and decided we needed to host a party for Memorial Day.

Our get togethers are ususally pretty informal. No grand tablescapes or fancy centerpieces. I love the look of those types of parties, but our reality right now involves chasing lots of little kids. So, a buffet with easy grab and go food is the easiest way for everyone to have an enjoyable event!

I decided to buy some red white and blue bandnas that will also work for a July 4th Party! I wrapped silverware in the bandana so people can grab what they need when they need it and the bandana serves as a reusable napkin-you know how I feel about waste:)

I tied my bundles with patriotic twine I found at our craft store and love how easy and cute these turned out. They will dress up the buffet table as well as being functional. I have a few other patriotic projects coming up this week. This warm and sunny weekend really has me motivated!

Have you started planning your summer soiree's yet?
