My kids are collectors and gatherers. We have boxes of rocks, sticks, dried up leaves, and found treaseures like broken boat rudders and stripped watches. Do any of you have a garage overflowing with "junk?" I will take any chance I get to actually use the treasures we find in a cute way...and other times I slowly throw these treasures away so no one notices:)
I was very excited to find a way to use these acorns we found on a hike last month in Genessee, Colorado. I always have boxes of different sized mason jars laying around and when I saw this inspiration image from Pottery Barn we got right to work!
I had a pack of small glass candle votives that I wanted to use. This way, as the candles melt, my acorns won't be ruined and we can keep resuing this easy decoration all season. I put one candle in each jar and then filled with my small acorns.
I love how clean and simple it looks. I am always a fan of bringing nature into our home to decorate for each season. Maybe because I would usually be outside anyway and it helps me feel good when we have to spdend lots of time indoors!
Do you try to bring the outdoors in? I would love to hear how you incorporate beautiful fall elements into your home decor!
