It is getting might chilly in my garage, but I did manage to bang out a fun pallet Christmas project!
I pulled 5 good boards off of a pallet and then then used extra pieces of pallet wood along the back to attach all the boards to. Then I sanded, sanded, and sanded and painted 2 coats of polyurethane.
After everything was dry, I painted a chalkboard square in one corner. Then I printed my wording in fun free fonts and used my carbon transfer technique to transfer them to the sign. It still needed something, so I stapled some old springs in teh ocrner, printed some free Christmas images and threw them in there!
I especially love this, because it looks cool sitting on my mantle, but if I didn't have a mantle, I could just hang this on a big wall. The stockings could hang from the little hooks I attached along the bottom of the sign!
This was just so easy to create and is such a unique piece. You could easily customize it to fit your own style. Now, go dig a pallet out of a dumpster somewhere and get to work...Christmas is coming!
