My nephew JAK was surprised last Saturday morning when we showed up with some fun early Christmas gifts for him! All the cousins were excited and he could not wait to tear into this special gift just for him.

He is getting a big train table for Christmas so we couldn't resist giving him this Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster™ Shipwreck Rails Set and Thomas & Friends DVD, Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure. I was taking pictures, but wish I had been video recording him because the squeals of excitement and delight were the sweetest sound ever!

"Look! Thomas! A Train!!!!!"

Of course Uncle Ian had a handful of help assembling the Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster™ Shipwreck Rails Set. Trying to divert the kids, I put on the Thomas & Friends DVD, Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure which inspired the track set and is the perfect companion gift for any Thomas or train lover! We love watching Thomas together and learning from his family friendly and thoughtful lessons. I am always confident the kids will gain a quality lesson when they watch anything Thomas.

The easy to follow instructions had us up and running in less than hour, even with all that "help." All of the tracks are labeled for easy construction and this Fisher-Price TrackMaster set is compatable with the other Thomas TrackMaster sets so you can really get building and let the creativity soar.

After climbing the long, steep incline to the top of the ship’s mast, Thomas plunges towards the deck and completely turns upside-down as he speeds along the spiral track! When he reaches the bottom, he’ll discover the lost treasure!

Be sure to grab AAA batteries when you purchase this one, because the kids will definitely want to dive in right away. The motorized train and cart were big entertainment for the little ones even before we got the track assembled.

Even the princesses in the house got into this and all of the kids, ages 3- 8, were excited and enjoying this awesome gift. My son was a bit disapointed he wasn't the one to keep it! Santa may need to go shopping again for one extra gift for him this year.

The boys turned this into a physical activity by chasing the train around and around the track. They got their exercise on a snowy and chilly morning inside. I was still getting pictures from JAK's mom at 7 pm that evening of him excitedly playing with his new train set! Just the perfect gift for a great little boy!
