AHA- It was 70 degrees last weekend and I am so ready for spring. I am pretty sure everyone feels the same as we do! The smell of the soil and dirt under my fingernails felt awesome. I like this little project because it was quick, easy, and inexpensive.
I hit the recycle bin for this one. I found some old cans and cleaned them up to use as my planters. I kept them plain, but you could definitely paint them or wrap them with scrapbook paper-make them "you!"
I used my tag paper punch, but you could just cut the shape out if you don't have a punch. I chose this free font from dafont because I want to give these out for teacher appreciation! But you can pick whatever you like.
I found some of my favorite herbs and planted them in the cans before tying on my tags. It was messy and I didn't want to ruin the tags. Then I grabbed some scrapbook paper and small dowels to make my tags. You could also use old popsicle sticks or even a twig as an uber-upcycling option.
The flags were just the simple touch to add a little fun but still keep it simple.
What have you been doing to get ready for spring? Well, other than pray, wish, and will it to finally come!
