I found a bunch of bundt pans at the thrift store and had seen some hanging lamps made from them, but I have not seen them painted with chalkboard paint!
I spray painted the inside with stainless steel spray paint , then hand painted the outside using my chalkboard paint recipe. I bought a hanging lamp kit on-line, but you can pick one up at Home Depot, Lowes, or Cost Plus World Market. I used epoxy to nestle the top into the hole, then paper towels stuff inside to keep it in place till it was dry.
That part took 2 tries. The first time dried all crooked and I had to yank the fixture out and in doing so snapped off some of the plastic. I redid it and as you can see above it looks just fine now!
It is one of the coolest things I have ever made. I had THE BEST time writing different messages on the lamp!
Since the bulb is completely exposed, I figured I better get a cute Edison style bulb.
I am taking suggestions for what I should write on here!
