Washi Tape Advent Calendar

A few weeks ago I featured an Advent Calendar roundup and was totally inspired!

I seriously loved so many of them, but decided to make one with materials I had on hand so that narrowed it down.

I started with an 11" x 14" canvas and spray painted it silver.

Then I grabbed my jar of clothes pins and added 2 different types of washi tape.

I also measured out my "tree" and used a third type of washi tape to create it.

I rolled some jute for the "star."

The little papers are full of fun activities and small treats for the kids. I didn't want it to turn into a tangible gift every day. Here are some ideas that worked for our family. Of course I strategically placed certain papers on the days I knew we would be available and doing those activities. And since I didn't number anything, i can move them around if needed.

Now we can get excited about fun activities and doing things that promote family time.

This is our first year trying out an Advent Calendar and I think the kids are going to just love it.
