Recycled Paper Christmas Ornaments

Here are some close ups and the nitty gritty on the ornaments I made for the

Better Homes and Gardens Recycled Tree Decorations.

I made similar ornaments last year, but decided to use my old scrap paper to fill clear glass ornaments this year. You can use junk mail, newspaper, old magazines, anything!

After you shred the paper and fill the ornament, pop the top back on and hot glue jute around the top half.

These would also look cute with green or red colored jute, which I have seen at Hobby Lobby.

Here is the "official" tutorial from the  BH&G website.

I have a few extras, If anyone is interested-heehee

I love how they look with my Upcycled Shopping Bag Garland and Stick/Chicken Wire Tree Topper!

  1. This looks so very nice! i totally put a Christmas tree like this up! :)

  2. You have some really awesome ideas and you recycle at same time. Love them. Are you still working on ornament ideas? I gave up after 3 weeks of solid making things for a craft show on 12/13. Was so tired and worn out I didn’t know if I could handle going to show. But we made it, made $43 total which isn’t too bad but will know better next year (if we get into show) what to make and start much sooner. We were really surprised neither of hubs cute wood trees didn’t sell. Didn’t find out about show til about 5 days before we had to have photos of what we were going to sell before 11/30/deadline. Not sure I’d want to do it again next year but decided not to make any decisions about it til next year. Do you ever participate in craft shows?
Might just be making your paper ornaments and garland to sell.
Happy Christmas to you and yours.
