This is MY guitar hero!
Rocking the Thomas PJ's my 3 year old, Everett sure acted like an all star when he tore open the
Leap Frog Touch Magic Rockin' Guitar
He hung that guitar around his neck and refused to take it off for the entire first evening the guitar was in our home. Everett immediately discovered how to auto play some of the catchy and popular tunes, like "If You're Happy and You Know It" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider," and he proceeded to sing and dance all over the house! This feature is helping him build social skills and be confident in his self expression. He was proud to sing along, invited everyone to join in and sing with him, and thoroughly enjoyed the applause feature he added as each song finished!
When I actually got my hands on it and helped him to discover all of the amazing features, we were really blown away. Everett had a great time learning coordination and playing music skills by strumming and layering the different instrument sounds onto the songs. This great feature let him make each song his own and really individualizes the experience for each child who plays with the guitar.
The kindergarten crowd really got into the concert and couldn't wrestle the guitar from Everett's grip. When that happened we started singing the auto play song, "Taking Turns,"and had a nice little lesson about sharing super cool toys. It took more than a few minutes, but he finally relented and let his sis give The Rockin' Guitar a shot!
She was way more into the "solo guitar" feature where she could create her completely original masterpieces. Did you know making and listening to music can increase a child's creativity as well as support language, math, and physical development? So this isn't JUST a great time, this play time is teaching important skills all kids need to learn!
