Burlap and Chalkboard Candles

I have had this chalkboard fabric laying around FOREVAH! I can't believe I haven't used it yet...wait, I can't sew so that may be part of the problem!

I even did a post with tons of ideas and ways to use chalkboard fabric...A YEAR AGO!

So, for Pete's sake, I finally did something with it-a tiny bit of it and also incorporated my beloved burlap! If you need burlap, jute, or old coffee sacks head over here to buy it!

I ran off to Dollar Tree and grabbed some candles and got started by removing the big old sticker. Sorry, Our Lady of Guadalupe, I have the utmost respect, but I just needed a cheap candle for this one.

I made good use of my hot glue gun on this project. Just remember it seeps through the holes on the burlap, so don't burn yourself!

I needed to glue the chalkboard fabric and the burlap really well or else

the burlap was pulling away from the candle and looking all bumpy in spots.

The small votives are packaged 2 for $1!

I think they would be cute with holiday messages or as place cards.

Easy, simple, and unique!
