My Dining Room

As I sat here in my very quiet and very clean house waiting for Better Homes and Gardens to arrive a thought popped into my head.

My house will never be this organized, clean, and "together" as it is this very second. So, I hopped up and started snapping photos.

I would like to introduce you to my dining room!

My fave part, by far is the framed out stencil on the focal wall.

My sister-in-law found this piece in the alley....love that!

I grabbed the open for business sign at Save-on-Crafts-love that place!

(and why yes, that is my old changing table!)

I redid these chairs and they still need some wax, but you won't tell, right?

I found the crate at Hobby Lobby and filled it with old bottles and white candles.

I wrote about the 2 chairs tucked in the corners of the room here-they were a fun redo!

Now you know where we hardly ever eat dinner and where I often make my craft mess!

  1. Your house is breathtaking! I mean I honestly couldn’t breathe thinking of how much work I’d have to do just to get the table cleared off enough to take a pic like that. Also, it’s gorgeous (your house, not mine)

Love your super clean and very calm diningroom. It has a very beautiful soft feel to it.

Thank you so much Jayne. It is the most calm place in my home and sometimes when the kids are wild I just go sit in there and try to absorb the serenity!

Love the oak pieces ..and the fact that you didn’t pain them!

    • Kim says:

I kind of wanted to paint either that shelf or the buffet, just for some color. Honestly, I have just not been motivated to do it. I may one day, but I am kind of liking the simple and calm effect going on in there. Too much color may disrupt that.

  4. Love your dining room, especially the alley piece! Thank you for sharing. Visiting from RA. Would love it if you would share this at my Make it Pretty Monday party at The Dedicated House. http://thededicatedhouse.blogspot.com/2012/07/make-it-pretty-monday-week-7.html Hope to see you at the bash. Wishing you a grand weekend. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
