I took full advantage of my ultra clean, organized, and kid free home last week! I took pics of every room, so you will like, you know, feel at home here with me. This room hardly ever gets used, but it is right off of our entry so we look at it a lot. Therefore, it needs to be cute too, right?
My fave thing is the big dresser that came from my husband's Oma. It was in our bedroom when we bought our first house, but I revamped it and now I just love it in here.
I installed the wall lighting and added that new painting (from Ross $30!) a few weeks ago. I really like how it balances the room and the dresser. The bookends were featured here and that cute checkers set was from the thrift store.
This sliding ruler was a steal from Save-On Crafts and it is just too cute!
This bottles & holder was from one of the daily decor deal sites, but I forget which one.
That chair in the corner has become the time-out chair, which is a shame because it is really cozy and the troublemakers are much too comfortable for my liking:)
The drop cloth wreath was featured here if you want to see how I made it.
That metal box was a Decor Steal and it is perfect to hold magazines in my cozy corner.
Each child has a basket near the door, to hold all of their shoes. This makes getting out of the house easier, no searching for missing shoes at the last minute....usually anyway.
What do you think of that stripe that goes all the way around the room? I kind of like it, but I keep wanting it to just be brighter in there. I do like this hanging candle holder (Cost Plus World Market) that dangles right in between the stripes meeting point.
It's been so nice having you over this afternoon:)
