I have discussed our addiction to step stools before.
Here are a few I have done up and some that have turned into step stools out of necessity.
Since I am redoing our powder room, I decided this sad little number could be retired to the kids bathroom, after all they don't really care what their step stools look like anyway! But I care what the one in our main powder room that guests use looks like!
I wanted it to better fit into my industrial/ rustic theme, so here you have it.
I found the step stool at Hobby Lobby for $14,99 but I snagged it for 40% off of that.
I bought this kind of expensive ($21/quart) Martha Stewart Precious Metals paint at Home Depot. Now I will tell you it goes on with great coverage- I only needed one coat on the 2 projects I have used it for, so that helps with the sticker shock. It also dried super fast which I always love.
I painted the legs and the bottom, and then stained the top with Minwax Plantation Walnut Wood-Sheen.
Then I roughed it up and added a random stencil job and some sisal around the edges.
I just love it-like a bunch.
I keep walking into the powder room to check it out!
I will share the final reveal next week and I hope you will come back to check it out!
