“Old Glory”- My New Sign

I love this new sign I came up with yesterday.

I was nosing around in the garage and found a wood just the perfect size. I started by painting it gray- a mistint from Lowes which was only $7 for a gallon for an outdoor gray that totally goes with my house color.

I have been getting in the swing of July 4th and snatched up some red, white, and blue paint. I taped off some stripes and after the paint dried, I distressed the whole piece.

I used a stencil for the star, added a dotted trim, and then a carbon transfer (learn how here) for the wording.

It is really looking cute on my spruced up porch!

I will share my before and after on that little table and my whole front porch reveal next week!

See ya later for Get Schooled Saturday!

I had to pin this!! So cute and different than other ‘patriotic’ signs — I love how this is laid out and the wording you chose for it it.

  6. Awesome job! I’d love for you to link this post to my weekly meme Seasonal Sundays. It’s right on target.
