Bare Naked Lamp

This is what it did look like, eh it's ok

I just needed a change and you know, nothing's REALLY ever "finished" in my home. I took off this shade tore off the fabric but it seemed too big, so I stripped an old and torn lamp shade from my "goodie" pile in the garage  and grabbed my awesomely fun green paint and went to town on the skeleton.

I have used the same color on these bookends too. It's fun and fresh and makes me smile!

I bought an old fashioned light bulb at Home Depot for $5.99.

I sprayed the base with a glossy black.

She sure looks different, but I sure do like her better.

I am liking the hip vibe growing in my living room!

wow…is that the skeleton of the original shade? It doesn’t even look like the same shape or size!
The end result sure is fun! And I love the green on the black.

I luff the lamp 11/10. I think sometimes it’s the bones of something that really is the design element and so worth highlighting – great job………..B:)

  3. Now why haven’t I thought of this? It’s awesome!
