I found this at the thrift store.
I kinda felt bad as I was painting over Don & Linda and their happy little faces,
but hey, someone must have given this thing away in the first place, right?
I painted this lovely little sign white, then black, and added gray stripes. Then I scuffed it up, added the metal star, and a quick little welcome message.
This was my second attempt at making this old fashioned sign fit my needs. I like it, but it doesn't look good next to my front door which is where I really need a welcome sign!
But luckily it DOES look good out back,
so it is hanging by the back door and it sure looks better than it did when I bought it...for $1.99!
Now, I STILL need a welcome sign for the front door before I can show you my bright and cheerful new front porch!
