I mentioned in my post on Friday that my husband has started his own company. This explains the few posts I have shared over the past few weeks. I have been so busy supporting him, planning end of the year picnics, volunteering at preschool carnivals, and dealing with my infected root canal that I have not had much time to be creative.
For now, hubs is working in our basement guest room. Hopefully this won't be for more than a few months, but while he is down there it needs to be functional as an office and as a guest room. Our families live far off and we often have visitors staying for a few days or even weeks at a time. When he eventually gets an office space, there will still be times he would prefer to work at home so we really need a permanent solution that will work for all of us.
Here are some of the guest bedroom/office combos I found and boy, do these ideas make me want to get to work!
I love the eclectic and unique feel of this room. It looks comfortable and easy.
All of these built-ins make organization a breeze.

Talk about saving space. What a great idea to have desk on either side of the bookshelf!
I love how warm the colors and fabrics make this space feel.
Clean, organized, bright, and efficient.
I love the idea of a very comfortable chair to use while working.
That fabric draped over the bed is just amazing!
The huge magnetic memo wall fits in easily with this color scheme.
This would be my dream office for sure. Lots of room to work and get cozy.
The bulky photo ledges are fab and that bed feels more like a couch.

I am loving the creative organization under the table/desk.
Talk about dreamy organization...I think we NEED a big bookshelf.

I like the idea of a simple long desk that would hold laptops and supplies and then be easily transformed to a useful table top for guests.
Bookshelves as the sides of the desk would help with our small space issue.
I really just can't say enough about this quaint little work nook.
OOOHHH- Industrial chic...I think this one is my favorite.
Now, if only I had $40,000 with which to complete this project! Ha Ha
More like $40!
