You know. almost everything I do is Earth friendly.

I usually recycle, upcyle, reuse, or revamp old stuff for every project I tackle. So, let's just say bye bye to

Earth Day Thursday

and make every day Earth Day-like that slogan, you know? You will still be getting your fill of Earth friendly crafts, ideas, and tips so don't worry!

I found this A-Dorable pair of jars with the lids at a thrift store and HAD to have them.

I mean seriously-so cute!

I bought some battery operated votives ( $3 for 5-with batteries- at Hobby Lobby when you use your coupon) and decided to turn these into little lanterns for my backyard.

I grabbed some wire and twisted it around the rim below the lid, I want to be able to take the lids on and off.

Then I twisted a little loop to hang the lantern.

This is like no time and no work-so easy.

I hung them from the trellis I made which is sitting on top of my garden dresser.

Man, that dresser is really growing on me, it just keeps getting better and better! I already harvested 2 batches of lettuce (bottom) and one batch of arugula. If you trim the lettuce instead of pulling it out by the root,  it just keeps regenerating-super fast. That bin is enough for one big family sized salad and a few sandwiches each week!

Love the jars, especially the yellow lids!

  3. That dresser really is awesome!! And those new votives, soooo adorable. Those jars are too stinkin’ cute. :) And I heart a girl who loves a good upcycle, reuse, repurpose. You’ve got a nice little garden area growing. I’ll be over for a salad in a bit. :)
