These pieces totally remind me of dish towels...nice ones...that I like...

I snagged this plain little recipe card holder and shelf at Goodwill and was completely inspired by the dishtowels!

Do they remind you of the dishtowels too?

A little chalk paint and a little of the rough stuff.

The recipe card holder, just HAD to go with it.

Now, is this a match made in heaven or what?

Thanks for entertaining my strange dishtowel fetish!

these little creations are so sweet. I love the transformed look! I am a goodwill girl myself. such joy there is in making something from the cast aways! and the pennsylvania dutch cookbook really has my curiosity! I have some pennsylvania dutch heritage but not much about it has been passed down to me. have you tried any of the recipes in this cute little book. I would love it if you could share one or two. Have a wonderful day keep up the crafty spirit :) I am going to follow along. I look forward to getting to know you. Janita

Yes, I have! I am from Allentown, Pa and live in Colorado now. There are some goodies I miss. I made Shoo-Fly Pie, hot bacon dressing, and potato filling and they were ALL good. There are also these funny little sketches and PA Dutch sayings in that book-so funny. I scored it on E-Bat and am just in love with it. I will definitely share some of the ideas:)

I love these, and I have… oh, about 150 grill towels like yours that I used as napkins at my wedding. If you have any ideas about what I can do with them, don’t hesitate to let me know!

Great project! I love your towel theme! I painted a drop cloth in a similar pattern to use table cloth but am now repurposing it as a curtain for the front of a sideboard. I am going to have come back when I have a little more time! ‘night!!

Where do you get dish towels like the red & white striped ones? Does anyone know where you can get buffalo check dish towels?

    Thanks!
