Surprise, we have a blog crasher today!
I am busy having a party at my endotist's office and getting a root canal. Lucky for you, I didn't bring that fun to blogland! I snagged a fabulous lady to share some of her talent and wit with all of you this morning.
Karah, from the space between has settled in for the day and I am so excited to share some of her amazing creations. You know when you are visiting link parties and clicking on interesting photos that catch your eye and somehow you keep ending up at the same blog? Well, that happens to me all the time with Karah!
That phenomena is called, BLISMET (blog+kismet) . Yeah, I made it up...brilliant, I know ... I am currently copyrighting it.
First, let's meet the lovely lady!
My name is Karah and I blog at the space between.
You know the space, that one between where you've been and where you're going. The now. I am a small town girl from the north east who was lucky enough to own and renovate 3 1/2 homes in different US towns.
For the last few years, along with my husband and our pups, I have been reinventing our space in Curaçao. And, after 8 years of home ownership, have been navigating my way through being a renter again. Sigh. Finding my DIY mojo in a rental has been quite a process. But I now have loads of fun blogging about thrifty, resourceful and unconventional upgrades I make in and around our little space. Creating a space all our own in someone else's home, with a little bit of real island life mixed in.
What cuties!!! Want to see some of the awesome stuff that island lover creates, when she isn't playing in the sunshine and waves anyway?
I love old rusty, crusty, inspirational, and fun signs of every sort. Here is a little collection of a few of Karah's.
I absolutely adore this piece..beachy anyone?
I love how Karah shares the nitty gritty in her tutorials. Like her oops, how she fixed 'em, and (maybe) I can avoid them.
That's it...when I go to the beach this summer, I am taking an empty suitcase which I will fill with found shells and driftwood for my future projects...here in Denver...far from the ocean. Check out these adorable trees!
AND, I saved the best for last. Karah used pallet wood and built this stinkin awesome storage box for her kitchen!
The post is hysterical and the tutorial clear and concise. So much so, that she convinced me I can build one!!! I hauled home a couple of pallets yesterday from the dumpster of my neighborhood ACE, they give me free rein to pillage anything I find there, and will be ripping those guys apart with the help of my husband and attempting this one next weekend!
Hope you enjoyed meeting Karah and will visit her over at the space between!
