A Basket…Just a Basket…No Biggie

An easy one for you and me today.

I had a root canal yesterday...boo. I have had one cavity in my life and otherwise no dental issues ever. This old cheerleading injury from high school finally caught up with me. (I feel like a Saturday Night Live skit when I say that, but it's true!)

I was a total baby and choked and almost cried when the dentist stuck me with the novocaine for the eighth time! It was icky and I felt pretty junky all day. I took some pain killers which knocked me out half the day.

So that explains why you are getting an easy peasy little craft today. It was just the plain basket with the liner that I spiffed up to hold some magazines in our guest bedroom.

I wasn't exaggerating when I told you I am currently obsessed with these metal numbers!

I will have to share our guest room someday.

Two of the walls are orange and that little scrap of fabric fits right in.

That's all I could muster today, hopefully I will finish up my porch in the next few days and get to share that with ya!

This basket is cute and I do love that letter!

Dental work is no fun (I’ve never had anything serious done, but even I dread the cleanings!)
    Feel better!

  2. Very cute idea to jazz up a plain basket!

I like your basket. I hope you are better soon.

  4. Hi Kim. Hope you are feeling better! Um, I am TERRIFIED of dentists (long story!) But–I met one some years ago that helped me tremendously. She had on her intake form “Anxiety Level: __________” I put “off the chart!” She said “We can deal with that!” She didn’t do gas, and I needed to be awake anyway–but she did give me an Rx to take before I came in–generic Halcion. I am awake, can communicate, but don’t care what they do! I do still get lots of novacaine (it takes more than they think it will every time…) but I don’t feel it!! I come home and take a long nap afterwards and am fine. No pain killers needed after. No “hung over” feeling (since I nap!). I need a lot of work (wish I had found her sooner!) but I can face it and deal with it now. Without the Rx….ain’t no way! E-mail me if you want more info. Blessings, Sharon

  5. Cute basket, sorry to hear about your horrible dentist experience though :(
