Earth Day Thursday- Homemade All Purpose Cleaner

I was buying this at Whole Foods for my general counter top clean up needs.

Then I was using just vinegar and water, but I felt like I need a bit more cleaning power. Now this is what I am using.

I am loving it. I grabbed the Borax a while back to make my own powdered laundry detergent (which I LOVE) by the way, and that big box is just lasting forever. Find Borax at the regular grocery store with laundry detergent. (never mind that lemon-I didn't end up using it)

The Castille soap I buy at Whole Foods, but you can find it a natural food store or even buy it on Amazon. Every so often Whole Foods sells the big bottles for half price and I always stock up. I used peppermint scent for this mixture and it smells really nice! You could also use a few drops of essential oils and scent it whatever you fancy.

I’ve been using natural products called Mrs. Meyers, but are so expensive. so I am happy to find out how to use my own. The only thing I need to get is the Borax, have everything else. thanks for sharing the “recipe”. Wanted to ask you a question – do you sleep. You always have so much going on – good things. I love the smell of Dr. Bronner’s peppermint castile soap too! I use it in my homemade foaming hand soap. I use Dr. Bronner’s tea tree castile soap in my all-purpose cleaner. It’s a great alternative to vinegar for cleaning marble and granite since vinegar shouldn’t be used on those surfaces. I love making my own cleaners!
