Last weekend we spent some time at our friend's cabin in Buena Vista, Colorado. It is a small and super cute town in central Colorado. While driving through the town on Friday afternoon I spotted a thrift store and managed to con the husband and kiddies into playing at the park next door, while I checked it out. Isn't it always fun to hit up thrift stores and consignment stores when you are away from home? I always find exciting treasures that never seem to be at my usual stops.
The very first thing I stumbled upon was an old hutch FILLED with old bottles. Like A LOT of old bottles. I bought 15 and I bet there were 120 there. The shop owner told me some poor old dude donated all of the bottles because he was moving and his wife informed him the bottles were not invited.
I am thinking about selling small groups of them in my ETSY shop, but I am quickly growing attached to them.
As I was paying for them, I kept thinking to myself, "I should be buying more..."
Look at these rusty and crusty lids.
Every bottle had a fitting lid!
How am I to be expected to part with these lovely pieces of history? I mean, Mrs. Carpenter needs to take one tablet morning and night, how do I sell THAT?
I may just keep them for a teensy bit longer, maybe the novelty will wear off and I will be content to sell them...eventually!
