Sticks & Paint

The kids dragged home a branch after playing at the park.

It was just the perfect size for me to do something with, but what?

A fun little winter decoration to take the empty space since putting away all of my Christmas decorations.

I spray painted the branch silver.

I bought letters at Hobby Lobby and decided to keep them natural.

I tied them on with a medium weight jute cord and voila!

It is fun and was so quick, easy, and cheap. And since we have been practicing letters and sounds with the kids it's educational too:)

  4. I think this is so cute! Thanks for the idea. My six year old loves to do stuff like this, especially playing with sticks. This is a great idea to make use of some of his “energy” and have fun at the same time.

  5. TOO CUTE! I would love it if you come by and link this up at From Scratch Friday @ Marriage from Scratch! It’s live already on the blog 

That is really cute! I dragged home half a tree when the city maintenance workers were trimming trees in my neighborhood. Ummm, yeah, it is still on the side of my house. Now they are rustic and aged branches!
